Are we becoming dumb and vulnerable because of dopamine addiction?

We are constantly overexposed to hyperstimulation, particularly through our own devices. Our brains are so addicted to the effects of this stimulation that they become completely absorbed in it. The problem is that the effects are terribly harmful, both individually and for society as a whole.

Our brain reacts strongly to dopamine. Dopamine is what motivates us to act in a certain way. When dopamine addiction occurs, the person overstimulates themselves with sources of quick pleasures and this constantly. We therefore observe first of all a very significant drop in motivation and passion for all spheres of life. Then, our brain can no longer bear to live outside of this hyperstimulation, because it must cope with a lack of dopamine, a lack of comfort. The brain is therefore constantly exhausted. There is therefore ultimately a profound discomfort with life and a loss of meaning, because we no longer know what matters most: true reality or addiction. Since addiction is stronger and the brain is vulnerable when it is exhausted, the brain will repress the will to break out of the vicious cycle of addiction. In the end, the person will let themselves be led more and more by their addiction until this dopamine ends up controlling them completely. We will therefore become completely disabled since our brain will become incapable of performing tasks outside of the addiction.

This state of addiction is also very present in consumption and in other spheres of society and this poses a real problem, because we become more and more vulnerable to being controlled. The stopping of thought and the control of people's will is the beginning of an era of submission and dehumanization towards the powerful. The conflict for freedom today is no longer to overcome tyranny, fear and oppression. It is even worse, because the powerful will be able to control us directly through quick pleasure without us noticing it. For now, we are getting by, but humanity risks falling into a very dark era if we continue to give in to this addiction.
